Tafadzwa Mangwiro

Tafadzwa "Taf" Mangwiro is an independent, Mississauga-based filmmaker, screenwriter, director, and actor. Operating under the creative banner "Directed by Taf," he is actively involved in the Toronto film circuit. He formalized his filmmaking path by enrolling in the Image Arts: Film program at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). He is best known as the creator of the Bloodline action-thriller franchise, which scaled from a 2024 student short into the ambitious 30-minute sequel Bloodline: Hunt or Be Hunted (2026), amassing over 12,000 views on YouTube. His directorial portfolio also features the drama Truly Mine, which debuted at the Reeljects Open Summer Screening in Toronto. A TIFF Next Wave Committee alumni, Mangwiro has collaborated with the Toronto International Film Festival to curate youth programs, review official selections, and serve on festival juries.
